2. Working Principle

Based on the theory of selective photothermolysis, three complementary wavelengths target hair follicles at different tissue depths:

• 755 nm (Alexandrite wavelength): Acts on superficial follicles, ideal for fine, light‑coloured hair and fair skin tones; highly absorbed by melanin for effective facial and fine hair treatment.

• 808 nm (Gold standard): Penetrates medium depth, the optimal balance between melanin absorption and tissue penetration; suitable for most skin types and hair colours.

• 1064 nm (Nd:YAG wavelength): Deepest penetration with lower melanin absorption, safe for darker and tanned Fitzpatrick skin types (IV‑VI), effective for coarse, deep‑rooted hair. Laser energy is selectively absorbed by melanin in the hair shaft and follicular stem cells, converting into controlled heat to disable the follicle’s regenerative capacity. Repeated sessions cover follicles in different growth cycles (anagen, catagen, telogen) for progressive long‑term hair reduction.
